my battery seems to not hold a charge...
jumped it on thursday and it worked but it just gets less and less and now its dead again

any recommendations on a battery... i dont think i need an optima or anything crazy... can i just go to napa/pepboys/autozone ???

looks to be a lil difficult to swap... anyone know if all i have to do is remove the plastic clips around the whole batter cover to access the battery...
guess ill go find out

yes, you will have to remove all the plastic around the battery including the plastic that connects to the windshield. The little plastic pop rivets can be removed with a flat head screwdriver, also the battery is really in an awkward place and heavy ....making it hard to remove.

yeah.. it wasnt that bad.. had to disconnect all the fuses and move them out of the way... and i had to get someone to physically remove the battery for me... thems is heavy with no handle... they are heavy WITH handles. all better. and the nav doesnt reset with a dead batter so thats nice.
should i drive it hard now so the ecu learns the way i drive??

Yes! =) and glad you got it taken care of Ash.

Just one question Ash, were your connection good on your battery, loose connection can cause the battery to discharge. also have the battery check and see what the voltage it's reading. just curious and I'd rather not see you spend the money unless everything checked out first, JMO.

Funny, but i think my battery lost charge as well. i was going to a job interview today, and my car wouldn't start...just the battery, parking brake, airbag, and seatbelt sign were on the dash, nothing would happen when i turned the intelli-key. road-side assistance is coming in a bit to check it out.

ended up taking the most reliable car in the household, my moms BMW of all cars :err:
