Does anyone have a step by step for a spring install?? I know a few of you guys have done this yourself. I have access to a helping friend and a spring&air compressor with all the tools we need.

a write up is exactly what i was lookijng for. I just wanted to make sure we did everything right-we have all day and all the tools-just dont know a step by step proven method to getting it done. Didnt want to just wing it

First question is have you done this before on any other car...?

Doing a write up will take me a while to produce... Only by popular deman would I consider doing a write up.

There are several steps that you need to take to make this happen. If you are not experienced enough to do this, You should not do it and it would be best if you would take it to a professional.:nerd:

Click here to see how my experience was in doing this mod. :embarrassed:

I helped out a couple of people. It was mostly on the phone.... One in Panama and one from Florida.

Just allot of detail to write up.

If you want you can PM me so I can give you my number:smile:

personally, I think it's a lot of work... a lot of shops will do it for around $400 WITH the parts... so, basically around $150 for labor... I think it's worth it... less headaches... and if something didn't feel right, you'd just go back to the shop... where as if you did it yourself, and something doesn't
feel right... you're back to square one... just my opinion...

One of the major reason I decided to do it is because the only guy who was willing to do it is Steve at LMS and I really did not have time to drive to his place and drop it off. He did not want to give me a loaner and I could not take time off my work.

NO one else wanted the liability of installing the springs for me. The reason was because I cut the front spring by half a coil..

+1 ... If you have never done it in another car I would suggest not doing this either. I'm not doubting that you can do it, it's just that to do the spring install takes a lot of work. Like Ken said, pay someone to do it and let them worry about it just in case of anything like what happen Humberto.

I could see the temptation of someone wanting to do this on there own, with a friend who has the right tools. I just had springs installed by LMS at $383. It's a lot cheaper to buy a friend lunch and a case if beer.

Hey BaBaLuwee...

So $383.00 labor plus springs or $383 labor and springs?

$383 tooo much green.
Install should be round $200. LMS is pricey. Do they serve coffee & doughnuts while they rape you

Wow it seems prices have gone up with inflation at LMS cause when I had mine done there back in 09/05 the cost of labor was about $280 and $290 for parts.

Gil, you did tell Steve that you are from the org/scene.

WOW! I guess my friend DID gave me a deal... an ol' friend of mine owns a wheel/tire shop in Irvine... I knew he gives me deals, but very little (like no tax, or free balance, cheaper alignment), but I didn't realize until now $400 parts AND labor WAS a deal.
