My Latest Mod

your fx looks so clean man, looks great with those wheels & the black grille...

every time I get visitors with stock fx's they look so jacked up in the air next to mine, what a difference just lowering does to the whole overall apearance, especially with custom wheels, no fx should have custom wheels without a drop imo

+1 .. especially with 22's (no offense guys) it just looks way up there when you have low profile tires and no drop.

funny thing is, I think my fx looks lower with the 20's than it will if I go 22's, the less sidewall the taller it looks suspension wise...

my own personal rule of thumb is, the gap between the tire & the fender should never be more than the height of the sidewall... this is what makes something look too high or low enough to me... an fx with 18's don't look too jacked up because the wheel gap is kinda big, but the sidewall is big too, so it looks OK. a 22 will have a small side wall & there better be a small gap too or it looks like it's way up in the air..., ever see an escalade not dropped with 24's or even 26's? looks way way to high, gap should never exceed side wall height to look visually correct, that's my own personal rule:biggrin:

Ya, there's some gap, but the bright side is: no need to trim

The wheels are close to flawless. These things get dusty pretty quick as you can see . . . I feel for you OB owners

Why not? Long trips are great in the FX, seats so nice , & my ride is smoother than before cuz the Pirellis are actually worthy tires. I used to trek on RSA's, so anythings's better than that.

Just wondering. Yeah, I love driving my FX on long trips. Taking it to Tucson in 2 weeks. It drives really nice on long trips.

I've been all over the place with mines (that's why I have so much miles ). DC, VA beach, Baltimore, Boston and hopefully Vermont in April before snowboarding season is over.

FINALLY...I'm starting to like your FX LOL
Match perfectly with your painted grill/headlight...nice nice...love that R-Rides decal too
Looks SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Dave!! Big Pimpin'!!~

Sure thing Aus...come on over to SoCal. It would be great to meet you and we would love to see your FX in action. But then you would need your own competition class .

My company does have an office in La Jolla. I wonder if they'd pick up my gas receipts in lieu of a plane ticket on my next trip there...
That and I would have to get a kitchen pass from the wife for the couple of extra travel days:tongue:
