Don't get my wrong...I LOVE my FX...I baby it...it is in PRISTINE condition. I have the PAC NIS hooked up and the flip up DVD in the rear and in the front too! :) I even have the ipod touch mod that has over 97,000 views on YOUTUBE: YouTube- Ipod Touch Mod
It's a 2005 Sapphire FX35 RWD with 44,000 miles on it. It has had the oil changed at the DEALER only and has had the scheduled services there too.

Here's the reason I am really close to letting my baby go. My brother is the finance manager at the local Mercedes dealership and says that I can get 12% off retail, and 3.9% for 66 months. It sounds like a really sweet deal that I would be a fool to pass up.
Only thing is...I ain't gonna trade my FX in and get raped by the appraiser guy there.
I did the KBB "private sale" value and it comes up with $26,000 for a fair deal. The tires have about 25,000 miles on them and are Toyo Proxes ST.
Anyone know someone looking for a CLEAN FX with a lot of extras? I have my fronts tinted to match the back...I did the escutcheon mod on the driver door, I have a flip up DVD player where the factory dvd player goes (for the kids) and it goes to the flip up tv in the dashboard. All integrated into the audio system (with bazooka tube), and even the ipod touch mod. I also had this process done to the car: http://www.permafinish.com/ and it is NO JOKE...car looks UNBELIEVABLY clean when you wash it! (This is the second car I had done this way)

Didn't realize they now finance cars over 5 years. Very interesting...

Too bad you are ready to let the FX go. Good luck with the sale.

BTW, which Mercedes model are you planning to purchase?
 
considering that some benz's cost more than some houses, over 5 years financing makes sense I guess, they should just call it a mortgage though:4tongue:

Heck..dealerships are routinely going to 72 months now... :top:

I am looking at a loaded 2008 ML350...can prolly get it for about $45,000 at 3.9%. With what I am looking to put down, the payment would be about the same as what I am paying now. ($604/mo)

you should keep the fx. the ML's arent that great. my mom had one and it drove like a tank. its not even that peppy. :eek: and she had the bigger negine too. i think the 430

I know the new ML is not the same as last generation but just from ownership experience I had a ML55 last gen and I like my FX so much more plus I had all kinds of fit and finish issues..bulbs going out trim braking and just notas good as a AWD system...just my 2cents..I also had a 1st year ml430 and a E430 sport.

Picked up a 2008 C300 Last night with AMG package..fully loaded! Payment stays right around what the FX was costing me.
