How did you find iS?

The IS administrator offered me $500 to join, so I did.

Just kidding. Yahoo search after a buddy told me to join an FX forum when I expressed interest in modding. Didn't really know these were around since I had never done anything to my car besides drive it (or tow it) to the shop. I have checked out the org, but never joined. I just like the atmosphere here the best.

Hey Rookie, Permanent move? The weather here changes every five minutes so you can't hold me to this BUT it has been an amazing summer so far. FYI fxlr8 the original Zeitgeist Top pot donut is next door to one of the best rated specialty cocktail bars in the city. Amazing fresh fruit drinks on Saturday and fresh donuts on Sunday. Talk to the little woman, re-think the move!

For work? I like the Northwest, we went up there last summer...Oregon, Washington. Love the rivers and all the trees, we even thought about moving North when my wife graduated...but ended up on deciding to head back South.

I'm being summoned to company HQs. It would be a permanent move.

I've been to Seattle a few days here and there for the 4 seasons. It's a change for sure from socal. But, sometimes you just need to dive in and take changes as they come. Plus gettin out of Cali on a relocation allowance doesn't come too often, especially in the near to distant economic outlook. :glasses:

Shorter commute, more house for your dollar, and goddammit no state income tax!

Yeah, I can't complain about my 7 minute (on a bad day) commute. Hey-being the amazing liberal city that we are ;) You will have your choice of joining just about any special interest group under the sun.....

Will you be in the city proper or will you be residing in one outlying areas?

I have been a long time member on g35driver and always had a love for the FX. After owning 2 G35s I googled FX and found this site and the org.
After much reasearch and reading this site I bought my new FX35.
Glad to be here.
Thanks for the site.

^^^^bumpty bump

found the org first but that reminded me so much of my350z.com (that i passionately hated) that i googled for another FX site and joined IS without thinking twice. one of the best decisions ever. thanks to the admins, mods and all the members.

been seeing a surge lately...would love to hear from new members...

A forum is as good as it's members period. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

For me it was members like Fire0nic3. He answered lots of great posts and answered my questions in the beginning for 2009+ FXs. That made me want to stay and contribute as well. He deserves big props! In fact guys like Aaron I feel should be awarded with mod rights and or VIP status because of his contributions. But that's just my 2 cents.

And the icing is dam good too! The forum is setup awesome, integrated with , etc are all huge perks. Thanks guys!!!!

Recently I was searching for another forum to see if there was more Midwest presence like detroit Michigan so at least I'd be able to meet up and mod together and also belong on here, but didn't find anything. There is a huge presence of NY and Cali here which is great but I get jealous when u guys talk about meeting up and stuff and I know I can't or can't do work together with u guys and driving any kind of large distances is not really feasible because of my schedule.

I was just browsing the web, and came across this forum and was glad to join.

I just googled "most informative, least lame, best looking, easiest to navigate, most mature, and bar none coolest Infiniti FX forum", and the rest is history...

Nice, tchuck...for me, I was a member of a forum for my previous car. It was very helpful in teaching me things about my car. I googled Infiniti forums and this was the first one to show, lucky me..and as tchuck said, the rest is history..

thanks for all the input from members!!!

found it searching the web

Found this site when researching possible common problems and mods prior to getting our FX 2 months ago. Lots of great info to read through. Like others, I found this googling for FX related forums. Glad to be here.

I don't remember what I was googling for, but one of the results was a link to the org. I've never was into modding cars, so I quickly glanced through the org to see what it was about and then stopped. Few months later, I checked it out again and started reading into a lot of the posts. As I kept taking in more and more info on the FX there, I found a link to the scene (might have been a thread on a meet or BigA's detailing thread). I remember one of the first things I read here was the huge thread on turbocad's FX and got to see some of the great stuff he was doing to his FX. I'll admit that I probably didn't understand some of the stuff that he was explaining, but his posts are awesome nonetheless.

darn it.... I just google'd "infiniti fx forum" and we're still the 3rd link (first 2 were the Org). Not bad, but how can we get to #1?

Are there little rank up and down arrows at the end of each search result?

I found some other funny FX forum on there. Not ORG or Nico.

google...

i've been a forum member for the last bunch of cars i've owned so that's not changing.
after checking out the 2 that seemed to be most interesting, i though "is" seemed like the better choice and i like the functionality of the site more than "the org". of course that might be bc it is very similar to my current bmw board...
doesn't much matter, i'm here now!
