Antenna reciever broke off?

so last night i was travelling at a high rate of speed, roughly around 130-150 on the hwy for a bit, i wake up this morning to find out that this had happened





how much is it to replace it? i dont quite understand how it just broke off but im pissed about it, has this happened to any of you guys?

by the looks of it you need to replace part #3. if you order it from a dealership around toronto i can gaurentee it will be more than the price here though...i didnt know those could break off so easily. maybe you can just shave it off and have a unique mod

It just screws on, so it probably got loose over time...somehow. And doing 130-150 did not help I guess .

its 130-150 km/h so its really not that fast. thats like 80-90mph...i dont usually drive up to 150 km/h now that theres the 50 and over rule (car gets towed on site and impounded, license suspended on the spot, up to $10,000 fine.) although i heard most cops dont give that out because theres so much paper work involved

btw, maybe you can convince the dealership to have it fixed under warranty since its such a stupid thing to break.

haha ^^ thats jokes, ya i guess monday i will go and see how much one of these things are, and i doubt that its going to be under factory warranty, but we'll see what the stealership says, so the antenna piece just screws on?

As long as it's the antenna piece (the long piece) you need that just screws on, not the base, it'll be around $ 30.00. I remember reading a thread about it a while back, and I doubt it'll be covered under warrranty.

ya the base is still there , the part that sivels the antenna is still connected, so all i have to do is get that part, sounds good, thanks guys

I had the track times from October when I went to the track with Doc & berto. But that was b4 the headers and crank pulley and the super duper TBS. Theres a track day coming in March - hopefully that doesnt get rained out.
