Going to pick up my FX!!!

do they still suggest the owners of new cars to NOT rev over a certain RPM for the first 1,000 miles?

anyway, welcome to the Scene! Post away!

They always tell you to take it easy so the car wont get use to you driving it hard..

Audi for example, the ECU does not let you go over 4,500 RMP at part to rev up your car for the first 5,000 miles.. After 7,000 the ECU will let you push your car to the limit..

Just a way to avoid you F***ing up your car.. I don't know if that is true for the FX. I got it with 20K miles..

Supposedly Infiniti's are pre-broken in? Ionno I just thought I remembered reading somewhere that Infiniti, among many others, test break-in each car before sending them to dealers.

Not to mention Kenny from .org had no real issues for 80k miles and he drove what would average ~12mpg (aggressive driving) on his FX45 for the entire life of it

I bet it's trashed by now though lol

i heard they were pre-broken in already too...
i did some reading to help out my friend who got his camry over the summer, a lot of people say you only need to drive conservatively for the few few hundred miles so everything seals and is in good working order. then drive it like you stole it

i drove pretty conservatively (not exceeding 4000RPM) for the first 1,500 KM or so...then i got tired of going slow
