VK engine on ebay

he is using the VH45...i guess its the last gen V8. that project is going to be wicked.

That is the engine that came in the 90-96 Q45. That is one heck of an undertaking! There was a shop here in Georgia that was putting one of those engines in an S13 240SX, but they never finished it.

I was at my mechanics on Monday and he has a VK45 they were going to put into a some older Datsun, but ended up using a VG30. He said I could have the VK45 to build up if I wanted.

We discussed what it would take, not seeing any advantages really. It would be one of those things to do just to say you did it. RB26 might be a funner swap, he had one of those too.

That may, but its still a 6. How about a LS engine!! Now that would be fun if was doable in the FX.

Or you could put a 2JZ engine out of a Twin Turbo Supra in it! Here in GA people are putting that engine in everything. Mostly S13 240SXs, but I have also seen one in an 87-91 Supra here, and an FC (87-91) RX7. People love the 2JZ down here LOL!

Put an LS1 in it!

This thread has been in the crypt for a while, but wanted to revisit and get some thoughts from the VK guys. Can we upgrade the TB?

Anyone seen this? Could this possibly work as a slight TB spacer as well as a coolant bypass?

Really tempted to do some more research on the vk56 stillen blower. It will bolt up, would have to do a little relocating, but could it be tuned properly with uprev???

Someone is attempting to fit the VK56 blower, but the manifold foot print is different and it is isn't an easy plug and play by any means. TB upgrade for BOTH the VQ and VK is coming along and should be up for iS release end of October.
