I try to avoid anything with a reoccurring fee.
Isn't modding a reoccurring fee? :tongue (2):

Assuming a perfectly received signal, analog radio will sound better. I still buy CDs, but I also still buy albums on vinyl... :dontknow:
Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer HD radio over sat radio?

This GROM stuff (sheesh Andy/Andrew -- yet another mod you never told me about, thanks guys) looks cool too. Especially the USB one and adding bluetooth (for music only, not phone calls).

I wonder if I could add a massive external USB harddrive with MP3's -- that would be nice.
Any thoughts on the above audio guys?
Ed, I thought you would have studied and memorized our garages by now. No :ninja: here!
I love the GROM. At the very beginning there were some issues. I sent it back and got it fixed. Been working since. I have a 32Gb USB Stick into it. I don't see a reason why it would not take a massive USB external drive. An SSD USB drive would be ideal if you do decided to use a huge hard drive to it. The only gripe I have is the steering control is working so so. Not sure if they have made any improvements in that area with the newer version (firmware).
As for audio quality, I happy with it. I'm no audiophile at all for sure. Honestly, there will always be some lost when it go through an external adapter!
I have also looked at the PAC-AUDIO at the time and was thinking of using it with my Zune, but soon I found out about the GROM and the convenience of a USB stick, I was sold.
HD Radio? Digital signal to analog AM/FM? Just think of a TV top set box converting HD/Digital signal to be display on the good old tube.
My USB Stick lit up in amber too. How cool it that!

Hey, Ed if you need help let me know I swing by. Depending on the day that is.
My cousin is tackling it all. He will be an Infiniti FX expert by the time he's done -- half the car is pretty much apart already. Ha.
Nice, His he doing it in your garage?
