Chedman13's 2003 FX45

Is Marek the man or what?

Items Marek created/installed this past week:

1) Euro taillights - Legalized an American SAE (or “DOT”) standard taillights to European ECE (or "E-code") standard for someone who is moving his/her car from the US to Europe. I just like the "Audi" style taillights and had to have them. Red ring outer and amber inner turn signals. One of a kind, custom made. Requires swamping taillights and also rewiring.

2) Rear LED bumper lights - also up to code for American SAE (or "DOT"), which are reflective, turn on red, and flash amber for turn signals. One of a kind, custom made. Requires removal of bumper and wiring.

3) Buffed headlights to a crystal clear finish.

4) Installed interior color changing LEDs.

5) Chrome coated signal bulbs installed.

6) Remote to control LED angel eyes were not installed, decided to leave as is, to turn on and off with parking/side lights.

7) Installed "2nd version" LED mirrors. 1st version was a little different, looked like the tail lights of the FX. 2nd version was more a Mercedes type.

Awesome work! I want the euro mod so bad. The LEDs in bumpers look really good too! I just may bit the bullet and get it done by summer. Wow, really nicely done.

Ooh my... Love them all.

=)

I really liked the 1st version LED's, but I get bored fast. The 2nd version LED's -- I like a lot too.

I can't wait for my TRUE projector fogs, maybe with LED angel eyes, but I don't know if they can handle the heat in such a small housing. Headlight housing is much much bigger for heat dissipation.

I would love usable projector fogs instead of HID fogs in halogen housing, so instead of scattering light everywhere, they turn into driving lights (what I would rather have).

Marek made everything look OEM!

sweet tails and lights!

must be hot in chicago, from the reflection.

I read again. The bumper lights. Only shift when signaling, right? In that case, while a little funky, it's great for the safety factor. I can see them being steady red. That works

Hi GTO,

Yes -- they stay only red when lights are on and only shift from amber to red when you put your turn signals on or hazards.

I am pretty big on staying DOT compliant for safety reason, as I haul my family around in this car. That's why I decided to keep my side markers in my headlights amber reflectors instead of blacking, tinting or even carbon fibering them up.

The Amber Euro Lights are quite noticeable, and throw in the rear bumper lights that do look night rider ish, the side mirror LEDs and the headlight turn signals -- I would think I'm covered 360 degrees of someone seeing that I'm turning in a certain direction!!!

I'll try to get a night shot, but the rear bumper led on and the euro lights with "rectangle LED's" was the look I was going for.

I have the option of not having them shift/flash, but definitely keeping it to flash. They do catch peoples attention -- whether good or bad -- that's what I want=)
