Chedman13's 2003 FX45

yeah looking at wheels like this remind me of 2 years ago when i first got my fx AXIS was having a sale on a bunch of their wheels...$4oo a set! and i didn't buy them.....now the same wheels for for a grand easily....

Looking good Ed

Thanks -- something you don't have to worry about, snow!

I agree! I remember seeing them on tire rack and thinking they looked good, but much better seeing them mounted and stuff.

I waited a long time and I think the price just kept going down on tire rack that I couldn't resist. I wasn't sold on them, and then I found out that they would easily clear a big brake kit so I bought them, last set too:wink:

I put them on and was shocked at how much I liked them...

I got lucky on both occasions and took advantage of the prices=) Another FXer called me and told me about the Axis sale and I order the Axis Titan's right away.

Those where great wheels, and would buy Axis wheels again. Great quality for the price. I've very happy with these OZ Canyons ST's so far. They are very easy to clean, which is a huge plus for the winter.

Nice mod you have done to you FX. I like those wheels, grill and your tails. Looks great.

That air oil separator looks really cool. Is 150psi enough for our vehicle? Should we change the 3/8 fitting to 1/2? What size and length of the hoses you got. Sorry I am not an mechanical expert.

Hi White Hair,

Yes, I've had the kit for almost three years now and have had no issues. It does what it's supposed to do, catch any oil blown out. I empty it every oil change and the filter is easy to service.

150 PSI should be more than enough. Also, no need to change to 3/8" as the OEM tube is 3/8".

Go to your local auto store and ask for 3/8" Goodyear Fuel line hose. I would buy around a few feet of hose, it's cheap so just get extra if you're not sure. Just measure from where you want to put the hose and enough hose to get back to the hose connection.

I think I bought 5 feet?? It's been so long. You can mount it somewhere closer too.

Thanks Ched for the helpful info. I was afraid of air pressure dropping if the air pass through the filter in the oil / air separator and cause the drop in performance.

Hello fellow OZ-Canyon-winter-setup-buddy! Looks great!

Thanks, I made my final decision on buying these wheels by looking at your pictures actually =) They looked great and they were one of few sets on tirerack.com that cleared big brake kits.

Very nice Ed! It seems your always prepared, hehe!

You know it! All cars have been swapped to winter wheels/tires for maximum safety! My back needs a rest now, had to be very careful mounting now not to chip the AP Racing brake calipers and lifting these 20's are heavy.

Whenever I get my oil changed, a few mechanics commented "that's a great idea, that'll prolong the life of your engine. I'm going to go do that to my car."

Here's a picture or oil residue in the plenum DaveO of Nissan Sport Magazine posted on the org:

I finally joined the 100,000+ miles club. And don't worry, I had the car parked as you can see my seat belt was not on.
