I have a Nifty-City Car-Play unit in my FX37, looking for something that works as well or better for my FX50 and Infiniti no longer supports the older Nav Maps. Does anyone have any other options or experiences? I did try a Dongle hookup, but the system was too old to allow the software to load, it may be back to Nifty-City.

Only proper option is NiftyCity as I know, you can try with other chinese aftermarket units, but not sure is anyone hear having experience with it. I have written post on it on forum.

Yeah, after looking around, I ordered one, it appears to be the Best Option out there and I do have experience with the one in my FX37, so there’s that!
Thanks!
Cheers!

I used an Lsailt branded unit from Aliexpress. Same thing as nifty city but loads cheaper.

I finally went with the Nifty City Option, so far, it’s the best performer for the early models and allows the use of the factory controls and options.

I have installed Grom audio unit. Works great for several years with regular updates. Using the OEM screen.

Hello - I am looking at doing the same but looking at all the options. Are you able to connect your phone with this system via bluetooth or do you have to plug it in? What do you like/dislike about the unit you bought and did you research any of the other choices? Thanks

Hey,
Connecttion to phone is wired or wireless for carplay or android auto. Both work, but the wireless has the usual delay b4 connecting. You can also use the system as a standalone unit/tablet, but android auto is just easier for everyday life. Using the standalone system gives you all the usual play store apps and you can use phone tethering so you have internet access anytime.

Despite not being a performance beast (processor/ram) it doesn't lag and does the job properly. You can easily go back to the infiniti system anytime as this goes through the aux.

The only downside I haven't this point is that for android only, the phone still goes through the infiniti car system. It still integrates well, but something to keep in mind
