Hi everyone,

A completely black foiled (original black-purple) QX70 without roof rails with the fun 5 liter engine greets you warmly from Krefeld.

My 2017 model drives great since the beginning and has experienced only optical adjustments (exterior foiled, interior LED, carbon, etc.).

When Fini is not zipping along the next country road or highway, it stands casually in front of the house and waits for the next ideas for customization from its owner.

If desired, I post photos.

Greetings,
Dom

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay, I was on summer vacation. ;-)

Did a few pictures today but the car is a bit dirty. For winter season the car is all black, switching to 21" Infinity rims.

As you can see, no roof rails, no rear wiper. I closed the holes on the roof with the 3D printed plugs from EKO Design (recommend).

What's next:
- Tesla style screen from Nifty City, still waiting for the parcel
- Carbon Fiber (no foil) on the front row and inside doors
- Shift Koncepts carbon fiber paddle shifter extenders, also waiting for the parcel

No, I avoided to lower the car as I live on the countryside. :-)

Have a nice weekend

+ installed Pedal Commander (gear changes are much quicker, IDKW)
+ waiting for the red Nissan GTR starter button

That's it for now. Most external parts aren' t street legal in Germany. Even had several attempts to get my rear spacers official approved.

Other ideas for tuning are welcome. ;-)

Btw. Does anyone know if the silver trim on the exhaust tips are removable? If so, what would be the diameter for a replacement?

Pristine condition, amazing v8 example, keep it like this as long as possible! :shame:

Have a quick q, where did you bought carbon fibre trims inside, planning to do similar thing myself but lot of examples on Aliexpress & similar stores doesn't look OEM quality level.

Hi Robert,

Thanks! I really like my car.

Most of the carbon fiber stuff is from MMII Carbon Store:
MMII Carbon Store Store - Amazing products with exclusive discounts on AliExpress

If you need more sources, please let me know.

Yes,I know it is Aliexpress but the products are real carbon fiber and the quality is very good.

Cool, thank you!

I was browsing their page on Ali and think this is the all in one where you ordered most of your things, says 2009-2013 FX but I think this is all compatible interior wise for QX70 2014 onwards...

Exactly, I ordered most parts there. You can mix with piano black or ask for custom parts.

What's your impression on the Nifty City's Telsa style screen?

Here is the feedback I can give you:

- Removal of the old system plus wiring and installation of the new screen: Duration about 3-4 hours for a layman, a bit tricky as the instructions were not easy to understand. However, good that there are some installation videos on YT. Masses of cables, which must either only be plugged or not installed, as some are country-specific.

- Good support that answers all questions

- Sound with the Bose system is great and can be adjusted via equalizer

- Setup is 1-to-1 as with a tablet, easy

- Everything runs smoothly

- Only a few control buttons, you have to like, but the steering wheel control still works without restriction

- Advantage that both Android Auto, Apple Carplay or only the Android system with complete PlayStore access can be used (128 GB memory is available)

- Splitscreen with e.g. navigation and Youtube use while driving, possible

- All car functions are still usable, cameras are also running (even while driving, if needed)

- Currently I'm still waiting for a software update that enables the display of TPMS; should be available in the coming week. The only issue I have detected.

- Practical tip: without starting the engine better not watch YT on the screen for 2 hours and let the air conditioning run, the battery of the car is otherwise sucked empty ;-)

The screen not only visually enhances the car.

Do you need more details? Anything specific you would like to know?

P.S. maybe you can save some money and choose another vendor. There are plenty of manufactures out there who sell similar stuff.

Thanks for the details. Glad to hear there is software upgrade for display the TPMS. I have hear some said the screen is not bright enough during the day.

The screen brightness is comparable to my Samsung Fold 4, so bright enough for the German summer sun. ;-)

Only issues with dark video clip scenes while the sun is directly shining on the screen.
