2005 FX35 SAT receiver location

I’m trying to install a module to add Bluetooth and AUX input to my stock FX35 (without tech/Navigation package. I press the SAT button and get the “No SAT” message so I know I don’t have a SAT receiver. Where exactly is the receiver located? I can’t seem to find it. I’ve combed the threads (they’re all older and a lot of the links are dead) and I couldn’t determine where it is. I’ve looked at the Service Repair manual and couldn’t find it there, either. From what I understand it may be behind the rear panel of the driver’s seat? I took it off and took a look but couldn’t find anything definitive.

Does anyone know where it is and maybe have a picture? Thanks! Sorry to beat this dead horse again. Lol

This is the one I adapter I ordered:

I had some free time today so I checked in the luggage compartment under the plastic and it wasn’t there. I also looked under the rear passenger seats and nothing there either. Also wasn’t in or under the drivers seat.

You don’t need to find the sat. Receiver. as long as you have the Sat antenna on the roof, then you probably have the same radio I do, with satellite option. On the back of the radio you just unplug the satellite input, and plug in your wire connector plug from the unit you bought on Amazon. Mine is a GROM USB adapter. Here’s some picks of which one to unplug. Plus all the plugs are different so you can’t plug it into the wrong spot and mess stuff up.

image.jpg Here is a pic of my GROM USB adapter plugged into the input where the satellite from the factory connects to the radio once was plugged in. Once you unplug that and plug in yours it doesn’t matter where the SAT tuner is because now it’s disabled.
