That's great news - mind sharing what it took to do the install and price paid for the unit as well as the install? Thanks!* Update*I had this installed last week and all I can say is WOW!! This thing rocks and fits perfectly without a need to remove the spare tire.
Would you be able to let us know which wire from the Car side match up to the subwoofer connector? I know I have this planned on my list in the near future as well.I attached few pics. They tapped into the wiring harness so I can go back to factory if needed with a simple reconnect.
Yes it has its own built in amplifier. Simple enough to put the spare back in and put this one on top like the bose sub was.does this have a built in amp as well or do you need to install an amp with it? i built my own box and removed the spare tire, my issue is storing the damn tire, id rather just put it back in the car lol. i also did the akebono brake kit upgrade so I'm not sure the spare tire would fit anymore anyway
I would suggest running a dedicated power wire from the battery to the hatch. I removed the battery surround and cowl to gain more access to the main grommet that goes through the firewall. That made a world of difference for me. After that, the hookup was a breeze. If the wiring isnt posted anywhere let me know and I will pull it and post it when I get a chance.I bought this same sub and will be attempting to do the install myself in the coming weekends. If you have any tips that you feel will make the wiring easier, I'm all ears.![]()
Yeah, the rear cover seems to sit right on top, or barely above but it all fits just fineDoes the new sub fits fine once you put the rear cover back on? Thanks!

I did that immediately, and did NOT use the stock power wire in the Bose harness. But the reason behind this is because the Cerwin Vega amp may pull more power than the Bose does and this way it will able to supply the proper amount without popping a fuse or straining the line. Thanks for the feedback. What kind of difference did running a dedicated power line from the battery make with the sub's performance?
Any wiring help would be greatly appreciated. But no rush, as I don't plan to tackle this for maybe another couple of weeks.
I just ran the power wire down the passenger side of the vehicle.Looking to do this install soon. Can anyone who's done this tell me once you get the power wire from the battery passed the firewall, whats the best place to run the wire to get to the back and to the spare tire compartment? Any advice or tips would be great.
