Hey everyone, my name is Roy and I'm from Houston, Tx, USA. I own a 2006 FX35 RWD with over 166K miles on it. Up until recently it was my daily driver, including some grueling miles as the transpo for a street promotions team I ferried across the area, sometimes 4-5 nights a week. It wore heavily on the FX, as the suspension is shot, and cooling has become an issue. Not to mention a suspicious oil leak.
Which brings me to why I am here; joining this great community. I love my FX (my family calls it The Tumbler, as the wheel and seat automatically adjust to me like Batman moving into his weapons systems in the Tumbler Batmobile!), and I want to keep it going, even as I have moved on to a new car for my daily. I have transitioned it to "Project Car" with the intent of doing the eponymous LS Swap with a Gen IV 5.3L Vortec, 6 speed tranny, wiring and ECU, and all its trimmings. Also to come, BC Coilover suspension, new upper and lower sway bars, strut tower brace, new 22 inch wheels and tires, and a pair of bright red Bride Racing seats. Should be a fun project and I look forward to input and support from this vibrant community. Thanks!
