What kind of service items I should be aware of. The car has 100,800 miles on it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Things like filters, timing chain (if it needs to serviced), etc. Its on a transport truck coming from Miami Florida to Tucson Arizona as I write this!

What year?
Start with fluids & air filter, & maybe check the plugs condition.
Go over the recall & service bulliten list & make sure everything's been taken care of

Sorry - (feels) in place of fell!!!!

1st thing I'd do is Pull the neg on battery, pump the brakes, reattach & start it up. That should at least reset the ECU.
CEL still on after that, you may want to scan for codes.
Do you have any history on car & has it been driven in a while?
There may be a few things wrong here that need to be addressed

With the battery disconnected what is the point in pumping the brakes?

It can eliminate any residual charge that might be left in system that 'might' hold on to codes. Another option is to let sit for a little while before reconnect

The fastest way to dump ECM memory is to pull battery terminals and touch them together. Instant memory dump.
