Hi all, I’m looking for a “safe space” for fellow owners of the QX70 - the last of the great Infiniti’s.

I'll be uploading pics of my ride soon. Akebono brake upgrade and H&R Springs are getting installed next week. Looking to add Musa exhaust and the Z1 Motorsports CAI - if I can mod it and make it work - as "Stage 2."

See you in the forums!

Welcome dude. IS is space friendly, & we ban all the jerk-offs

Welcome! Thats a serious exhaust. I just installed the Z1 CAI. Go for the Race filter, its freakin awesome and will go great with that exhaust.

Change your mind on the HRs. Go Coilovers from the start.

CALL US (321) 206-6381 BR Series

You can get them for under a grand from Ed here on the site. There's also a camber kit made for QX if you want it. Night-Day difference in handling & comfort. height adjustable & huge weight savings. No brainer

GTO- I’ve heard coil overs hate salt.

Can they be used in northern climates if the height is set and then left as so? Or does it ruin them in general?

Thx

I've seen corroded coilover issue a couple times on site, but not recently.
BCs are really good quality for the money.
Set height, maybe make an adjustment after some driving if you can dial it in better. re-torque everything periodically.

BTW, this is first gen, but similar to what was swapped out. Saves what feels like 20+ lbs a corner

Looks great but I'm investing my budget in brakes this year. Make sure you can stop before you start going faster, right? The H&Rs at $263 shipped, were too easy since the shop was going to be there anyway.

Once we escape from NJ and get back to AZ, coilovers will be on the menu.

I disagree a bit. While they wont hold up on the track, the stock brakes are actually fine for normal use. Springs only, are throwing out $263 if you'll change them out anyway.

I just need the brakes to hold up against all the idiots in NY/NJ that decide they’re going to change lanes at the last possible second while you’re bearing down on them at 50mph faster than they are. Also, I’ll get value from staying within my budget and the aesthetics from the drop as long as they are on the car.

Cool. Project car keeps it interesting
Had springs on there when I first started and it's also a huge difference from stock. Was my favorite mod for a while.
& brakes a favorite too. I kept warping rotors

Did you put it on a QX? Couldn't get them to verify if it would fit.
Yeah, I posted a pic in my garage of it and no its not specifically for the QX but I always buy for the G37 and everything has fit so far. Some very minor adjustments. I had to lower the upper spout of the washer filler.
Check out my garage, PJQX70S AWD.

I have H & R springs on my ‘16 QX70 3.7 AWD. BUT too bouncy on avg road surfaces. I’m researching how I can improve my daily drive vs stiff performance, and reduce the occasional bounce? Wondering if Coilovers could be serious solution. I don’t race, but we love interior and look of our auto.....advice?

Here’s some pics of h & r springs plus new red brake calipers. We live the lowered look but long for a softer ride- not sure if we should go new shocks to replace OEM shocks or go Coilovers for that softer daily ride?
