Which would you choose?

I'm at a crossroads, and feel like I'm going to make the wrong choice.....so looking for opinions (pictures, if possible).

Planning on powdercoating wheels black. Also planning on chrome deleting everything (except the lower front grill). My issue is that I have a black car and don't know which would look better. I'm sold on the satin chrome delete (as I want contrast), but also wanted gloss wheels. I'm not sure how these would look together, and was hoping for suggestions. Would anyone go with that set-up or would you go all gloss or all satin?

I like your current setup a lot. I personally would not change it at all.

I do have a Malbec black with gloss black wheels and I put on the blacked out limited edition front grille.

I really like your current setup too, have always been a fan of dark gunmetal colored wheels.

Black hides all the details and it just all blends together, But I dont blame you for wanting to change it up...

Tastes can differ of course, but over here in Europe, chrome is the first thing that goes for anyone that starts modding! blacked out(or murdered) cars are very popular over here, I've seen a lot driving around but only a few can pull it off. Black rims are where it mostly go's wrong, the trouble with black is that it always makes a rim look smaller( satin black is even worse!) and tires often look grayish, 2 things most modders don't want!

I've seen dozen's of black rimmed Infiniti's on this site and I think only one has pulled it off, and that's Andy's FX45, but then he has 24's, his sidewall's are so low it looks like there's no rubber on them and the rims are not totally black(his stance aint bad either!). I wouldn't consider black rims unless you have at least 22's.

Black is definitely my color! 2 color's keeps it looking clean and tight, try to avoid 3 different color's(gunmetal, black, chrome, silver) 3 will it make it messy and unevenly matched. If it was mine I would lose all chrome and silver, go gloss black and contrast with gunmetal, you could just gunmetal the rim's, or rim's and roff racks, or rim's, roof racks and grill? side vents?, door handels? you can use gunmetal for as much or as little contrast as you want. Whatever you do, Have fun!! just my 2c.

Mine started as the base model with all the chrome such as the grille and the fender ducts and I have converted everything to black along with the sport taillights. I went with 22” black
Wheels and got the Infiniti logo in the center caps which I think really adds that touch of detail. I personally love the look of mine and looks just like yours. Your wheels looks so cool on the black. If anything I would go with black wheels it just really looks so good in the end.

For me ... full gloss black.
maybe some touch of chome like door handle and front/rear logo
but your rims is beatifull like that .... good luck :p

so beautiful
you're lucky do not have a number plate on the front. the car is more aggressive without that :)
But you have a orange light on the top HL and I don't like that

Nice:tup:!! way better than all that chrome, looks much cleaner and aggressive now. If you don't want to black out that front lip you should give it the same color as your rims, much cleaner! that lip really jumps out now, color matching your rims would smooth it out, keeping the contrast to the gloss black nice and even.

Oh yeah, one more thing, you could have shaved the 3.7 badges;)

I have powder-coated black OE 21" wheels on mine, I wish I had done more of a charcoal color, I actually would like the color to be very close to yours. My paint is whatever the dark gray was called in 2012 - phantom gray?

I have matte black wheels am and slowly satin blacking out everything else.

Looks great, can I ask what you used to cover the chrome window trims and other chrome details?

what shop if you don't mind - I'm "across the bridge" - south side, on the outskirts of Philly.... looking to have some work done
