hey guys,

So I got my Tesla style radio from Phoenix android radio and I was working on installing the head unit and realized I must be missing a harness adapter. I reinstall my old head unit and now I have an amber key light on my dash. The car starts and works normal but the light stays on. Any body have any experience with this issue?

thats Odd!!which check light is it? do you have a picture?
Well I went on a limb and tried the old battery disconnect and it worked..it cleared what ever was causing that light to come on. Now I’m even more nervous to mess with this..there is so many connectors that get left unplugged I’m worried how it’s going to affect the cars infotainment.

Anyone on the forums put in one of these radios before? I think there is an antenna for the key fob that lives behind the factory head unit..I have a feeling I will need to remove it from the panel and leave it connected..only I don’t know what the antenna looks like...does anyone have a schematic for the factory head unit?

I'M curious myself how this is going to workout keep us posted hope everything goes well
Definitely will..I've been doing some more digging and I am definitely missing a main wiring harness, it did not come in the box I’ve sent them an email earlier today still waiting to hear back.

Hey guys, i already installed my tesla style radio from phoenix ... and its working normally and fits everything. And yes three cables you will leave empty ... once you finish the installation remove the batterie cable for 10 min then go on

Hi Elie,

Yea they have to send me harness #5...I should have it soon. you said there are 3 cables you leave empty, do you know what the cables are for?

1) Antena you will use the new one
2) Satellite you will have a new antenna
3) camera it will be one cable

By any chance do you know what impedance these units run at? I read on their site it’s 22x4 rms but they don’t say anything on the ohms..any info is appreciated.

these radios look awesome. Any known issues with them that you guys have seen, like lost features that you couldn't get working? Steering wheel controls, etc...

I also saw that the one from Rhino says it supports bluetooth calling and a external mic. That alone is worth it. My bluetooth handsfree calling sucks balls..

Well just got mine in..steering wheel controls work fine, I’m having issues with the ac not syncing automatically with the driver...I have to adjust the passenger separately...Apple CarPlay works....not sure what MIC it’s using but I made a test call and was told they heard static.....what’s really upsetting me is my subwoofer isn’t working on my Bose and the door speakers sound distorted at high volume that tells me they are under powered...this is going to make me have to buy an amp and make it work....kinda bummed about that...
