Front camera part #

So I upgraded my bumper/grille on my '09 FX50s to the 2017 honeycomb grille, but in the process broke my front camera.

Does anyone know the part # for the camera and bracket to fit this grille?

Is the camera fitment/placement the same for all 2012 - 2017 grilles?

Newer camera definitely uses different software (other threads confirm this), but it's easy to reprogram.

As for the grille/bumper mod, it's fairly easy as well, just a little time consuming. The new (2017) bumper bolted directly on to the 2009 body. The grille is different obviously, but it also fits the bumper and body without any additional requirements.

Only issues/recommendations: 1. New bumper must be professionally prepped, primed, and painted. 2. Fender clips and plastic engine clips are pretty fragile, and break easily. 3. You may want to get a partner to help with the install, since it can be hard holding the bumper in place while bolting on. And 4. Parking sensors were a bitch to deal with until I realized they just pry through the holes in the bumper, and do not need to be disassembled.

Lastly, I used a diagram someone posted in a thread here as a guide to where all the bolts, clips, connectors, etc. are (sorry I don't remember who posted it). It was the best help to me in this process. If I can find it, I'll repost the link for you.

Thanks for all the valuable information, I do know a good body shop guy might give this a try later in the summer thanks for the heads again Mike! Did you get a camera yet?

The 2017 front camera attaches to the honeycomb mesh grille differently than the 2009, and seems to differ from other standard 2012 - 2017 grilles front camera mounts. Am I wrong, or will ALL 2012 - 2017 cameras fit the honeycomb grille? If so, I don't really have to worry about specific part# for my camera, I guess. I just don't want to buy a camera that won't fit properly to my grille. Thanks!

No camera yet... other priorities came up, lol. Still looking though.
