Exterior door handles & escutcheons that fit?

I recently did a paint correction. When I removed the tape, I must've aggravated the driver side escutcheon and it popped off. I popped it back on. It fell off while driving the next day. Bought a new one on ebay and slapped it on. I noticed two things; 1. I didn't know anything about the t30 bolt so I didn't access the t30 bolt. It still snapped in place. That's a problem. 2. The new escutcheon makes my old handle look as old as it is.
I bought replacement handles & escutcheons for all 4 doors on ebay. The escutcheons do not fit. I tried the passenger side door. Photo's below. The oem is the darker of the 2. Thought about filing them down but the handles lack the "hook" that the oem has on one of two connecting arms + it doesn't look like there would be enough material on the sides to do so while keeping some structural integrity.
Anybody know if the Dorman replacements or any others that actually fit or do I need to bite the bullet and give Infiniti $600 for some new grips?

PM'd hbinfiniti earlier today. Not sure if HB is still selling handles. I'm getting a feeling people have been replacing broken handles only and tossing the escutcheons because either they don't want to deal with it or don't want to find a t30 bit. Allen key gets the job done. If all the aftermarket handles are like the ones above, the escutcheons are useless.

Anybody out there replaced a handle with an aftermarket unit without issue? Not the escutcheon, just asking about the handle.

Copied a pic that hbinfiniti graciously sent to me today. That's the same escutcheon size that wouldn't fit. I don't understand how this is fitting other FX's and not mine. It's nutz. Only difference is his threads aren't copper colored. Even with the rubber seal removed, these escutcheons will not fit. What a pain in the ass.

Oh geez. PITA for sure.
I thought I had heard that it was supposedly a shared part with the Murano. Maybe that eBay part is actually the Murano version, and they are in fact not the same for that reason?

My FX must've been a factory reject or something. IDK, maybe they got a contract with a different company early on and changed the design.
The Ebay part I got did read "Mrano". They cannot spell Murano. IAMAUTO is the seller I bought from & said they've never had a problem. HB said he's positive it'll fit and I'm sure it will fit most, but not mine. I have to believe my eyes and the photos above tell the story. Sucks.

I bought an OEM escutcheon before to hide my keyhole on the driver's side (for security) and the swap was super easy...

Ok guys, I'm new to the FX world, but not cars in general, and I've never heard the word escutcheon thrown around so often. Hell, I had to Google it just to get an idea of what you're talking about. What are you guys referring to, and how is this a mod? What am I missing here? Is this FX-specific? Does it have to do with the intelligent key?

Well the escutcheon is a door handel cap. Some of us fx owners buy a passenger side escutcheon to install on the driver side to cover the key hole. To keep all door handles nice and smooth.

I need to replace my Escutcheon which fell off. Is that possible or does it clip on or screw in?

If its just the cover, it is a thin piece that snaps into place. The lock (or non-lock plug) screws in, but I doubt that fell off.

There's a hex head bolt that holds it in place which is accessed from behind a removable rubber grommet, located to the side of each door handle but on the inside of the door next to the door lock receptacle.

Thanks! I gathered it was likely a snap on after looking closely this morning. I wonder why they are coming off. I guess they just deform over time.

Now to find a quality one somewhere...

Wait, so for the cover is there a hole for a bolt to go through? I'm travelling but I'll have to take a look again.

On the cover, the clips are small and fragile, and the plastic degrades overtime and usage. My cover is being held on with velcro and no one would be able to tell the difference.
If searching for a new one, I believe the Murano shares the exact same part.

The lock (driver's side) or blank plug (passenger's side) is secured with a bolt. See images in post #4 above.
The chrome cover is plastic and snaps on with small clips.
