iPhone 10 issues with Bluetooth

Anyone having issues with new phones & Bluetooth.

2012 FX 35... Just got a new iPhone 10 and have problems streaming music and with audio going through the speakers, but don't have a problem with calls and talking with people.

Prior to that i had a iPhone 6 and really didn't have problems.

I'm sure with all this new technology the Bluetooth in older models becomes outdated and can't keep up with these new phones. Someone from the infiniti dealer mentioned to me a lot of people have problems whenever new phones come out.

Is there any kind of solution to solve this... Kind of annoying that a $1,000 dollar phone won't work properly with your cars Bluetooth.
 
Yeah, I had to pair my iPhone 8 to my car twice. Once for the audio stuff, and again for the phone stuff.

I don’t remember having to do that with my iPhone6.

I still have my iphone 6 stored in there but it's not connected. you think i should delete that one and the new one and start fresh and see?

Yeah, i had to pair them twice also. Have you had any issues with the iPhone 8 with streaming music through bluetooth?
 
Not really. But I can’t access the music library on my iPhone via the car when streaming.

However, when plugged in using the USB port I believe I can access the music library when using the iPod function.

My older iPhone 6 behaved in the same manner.
 
This issue is experienced by pretty much all of us. The BT chip in the cars is of older generation - and as much as Apple and Samsung want to advertise their BT chip backward compatibility its not quite the same. Also doesn't help that the electronics in our cars is getting old. You can try connecting an iphone 3GS to the car's bluetooth and do a hotspot from your iphone 10 lol

It’s worth giving it a shot.
 
I have the same problem on my 2012, i've tried everything, just use the chord now. I am using an iphone 7.
