New Shifter

The wife was complaining about all the scratches on the gear shifter so I ordered a brand new one off ebay, the question I have is...can someone give me directions on how to remove the old one, I hate trying to remove something like that without knowing what to do??

Yea ebay page would be nice, i don't find much for fx on ebay :(

My used fx shifter was all scratched by previous owner
 
Mine was scratched too. I taped off the leather and rubbed out the scratches with a fine emary cloth. Gives it a brushed stainless look. Cheaper than replacement.
 
New to IS, my shifter is all scratched up too.. Was planning on sanding it down and covering the silver part with Carbon Fiber.. Thinking about wrapping the shifter plate too to match..
