Hello,

New to the forum. I own a 2006 FX35. I've owned the car for about 4 months now and I've really enjoyed it.

Current mods:
Z Tube + Z1 filter
Test pipes
True dual exhaust + custom burnt tips
Catch can with custom baffle inside
LEDs all around
25mm spacers all around
... & all weather floor mats

Sweet mods! I also recently purchased an ‘06 fx35, but unfortunately won’t be modding it. I like what you’re doing with yours though [emoji1474]

Do you mind if I ask where you got your exhaust? And did it bolt up with no mods? I've been waiting on getting an INVIDIA GEMINI exhaust but I've ALWAYS hated the 90 degree bends at the dual mufflers... I'd prefer something with your setup, but the STILLEN gets lots of "surface" rust for a SS exhaust and the ARK is made for just the 2nd Gen FX...

Thank you! I wasn't expecting to mod this car either but I couldn't help it after I drove it a few times. This platform has potential.

Sure, it's nothing fancy just an HKS "replica" I bought for cheap. It bolted right up for me, no modification. Weird fitment on the middle hanger but fit pretty good nonetheless. Sounds VERY aggressive with the test pipes, no rice or rattle either. Seems pretty good quality too.. welds are nice, flanges are thick and appear to be straight. I'll PM you the company and price I paid for it..

Undercarriage pics coming soon

That looks SWEET! I prefer rolled tips myself... I'll look into the setup you got! Thanks for the info!

Thanks. Yeah rolled or double wall tips is the way to go. Mine are double wall. It's hard to tell since they're dirty inside. Running no cats = blackness all around the tips

Nice FX! How does the exhaust sound without the cats?

It's pretty loud. Not recommended for those who want something subtle. It has drone at lower RPMs but once you cruise it's not too shabby. As soon as you give it gas though you hear it... The test pipes snap and crackle when I rev it at idle. I'll post a vid tomorrow when I get home from work.

Checking in, one year later... not many changes to the old FX, life got in the way. Now that the dust is settling, I’ve got some time to work on this car and contribute to the forums and share my experiences.

Here’s what’s new:
1) New “Colder” spark plugs from Z1
2) Idler pulley delete and new gates belts
3) DIY grounding kit
4) Z1 angled plenum spacer
5) 3 pulls on a Mustang dyno
6) 2 pulls on a Dynojet dyno
7) Nismo seatbelt cushion (rice but nice)

Engine bay still looks pretty much the same... will be installing another catch can this weekend. Lots of oil running through my throttle body... 3C0B5DE6-4257-4350-A0D4-8D3886A81E71.jpeg 398A7B62-65D9-4B28-BEA0-7232052D23A5.jpeg

Would you like to see a short dyno video? Sure you would... Click the link below:

PLEASE NOTE, this car has not been tuned, had about 110k miles at the time, bad tires, bad spark plugs and was running rich... only excuses I could think of to explain such low numbers

Performance mods at the time:
1) Ztube and cone filter
2) Test pipes and full exhaust
