Yes I did, let me try to remember....the problem was because I only spliced into the wires on the 16 pin when I was supposed to cut and not keep wires connected to 16 pin. So pins 12, 13 and 14 you should cut within a couple inches of the 16 pin bezel connector and then connect the axxis wires to those, but dont reconnect them to the 16 pin connector.
