What did you buy for your FX / QX70 today?

These pics are 3 weeks old. I have since cleaned the engine bay and installed the engine plastic cover.

I fitted a pedal box, which has totally transformed how my FX drives as the response is off the scale compared to how it was and it actually feels like it has had a remap.

You can select different maps on the fly, starting with City, Sport and Sport + and you are also able to increase or decrease the sensitivity within each of these maps to really tailor the throttle to your requirements by pressing the +/- keys, which gives you an additional 6 adjustments in sensitivity and these are also memorised. I drove the car briefly yesterday with the pedal box switched off, which felt like I had a loaded trailor on the back, so I quickly switched back. Even the City map makes a huge difference over the factory map, so I have been using this for general driving and switching to Sport for more spirited driving.

You can select different throttle maps on a number of newer cars but this was never possible on the FX until this came along: Pedal Remap - PedalBox: increases throttle response

Pedal box? Anyone else weighing in on this?

Yeah, I'll be taking a short trip to a local tuner in couple of week's and have one hooked up, drive it around a bit and decide if it stay's, otherwise I'll drive back and return it (30 day return policy). Read a lot of reviews about it and they all say the same, much faster pedal response (especially SPORT+). There is a youtube film that shows exactly what it does, hold your foot steady in neutral at 2000 rpm, then activate SPORT+ and you see the needle quickly climb to 3500 rpm and then stay there (without moving your foot). So basically you don't have to press the pedal as far down as usually to reach the same amount of rev's, thus......... quicker response! Of course, it sound's great, but how it feel's in action is something everybody has to experience for themselves. It does have 18 levels of sensitivity, so there's room to tune. I will post about it once its installed.

Just did the Seafoam treatment (intake spray and a whole can to the gas tank), now my intake is cleaner and with the OCC there will be no more gunk accumulating on the valves. My FX smoked like a champ.

Where do you spray it in the intake?

Added a pro clip mount and modified my vent clip cell phone mount to attach it to the newly installed mount. Now I can free up my vent for the summer and enjoy the air conditioning ef2f34ec83907e73c7a14ddfa3e18506.jpg

I think that with the SeaFoam treatment I ended burning the Bank 2 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor, I will be replacing both upstream sensors. Any suggestions or guidance on how to do it to the VK45 is greatly appreciated.

Which viper system did you use? I'm only seeing ones with a stand alone remote. Debating between the Fortin or the Viper but I want to retain the factory fob

Tinted my rear bumper reflectors. I love how they came out.

3 light coats of nite shades then 3 coats of clear. In the shade they are a very dark red and in the sun they shine nicely.0a31d29891a6e32b40d3408654b5d0a7.jpg

Bought hoses and clamps for the OCC. I'm not sure where I'm going to mount it though. There just isn't a lot of room with it being almost 9" tall. Hopefully somewhere over by the power steering/STB/Coolant overflow tank.

Finally got my "Pedal box" hooked up, This thing is a "no brainer", I cant imagine anybody would not want this in their FX, can you imagine a car with TOO MUCH Pedal response? It's possible with this thing. In the highest setting(sport plus +3) most people will find it too sensitive, i'm still searching but somewhere around sport +3 or sport plus -3 should put a big smile on anyone's face. For +- 250$ and a 10 min plug + play install I can't imagine another mod with so much "bang for the buck". Just for the record, my comments relate to a 1st gen FX35.
