Hi there,
down here in Oz during 2017 we were still lucky enough to be able to get brand new 5.0s made to order. Having test driven all three engine variants, it was a confident choice despite of the premium in price. 4 long months of waiting period later, I was finally able to take delivery of my new car and it was all smiles on the first drive back home.

It's great to have access to the wealth of knowledge and of course personal preferences here in this forum. If only, the accessories would be so readily available here in Australia as they are elsewhere but I guess it is still a relatively tiny market for Infiniti and in a sense we are lucky to be able to get these sweet rides at all.IMG_1713.JPG

Let's see what my still relatively stock QX will evolve into over the term of my ownership.

I’ve always wondered what those cut outs are under the headlights? Some of the models have them while others don’t. Anyone know?

Congrats on the purchase by the way!

Headlight spray washer. When used the nozzle will protrude out and spray cleaner on the headlight. Required in EU but not in US.

Hi DatMan,
it's a RHD so no use in bringing it into the US ;)
Come to think about it, perhaps that's one of the reasons for why they were still available although the V8 was officially decommissioned in 2014/15. Certainly the V6 Diesel was taken off the market here too last year with no more orders accepted by Inf. Probably in fear of more fines ala Volkswagen for non complying emission control softwares etc. I think it is an open secret that most car manufacturers are cheating to pass those government tests in one way or another, not many can or want to risk a multi billion $ fine though.
Bit of a pity since that 3.0 Diesel engine was quite impressive and not exactly obsolete at all. Death by politics, I guess. I now wonder how many extra V8s or V6 Petrols are travelling on our planet instead. Not sure if this is an up- or downside.

Anyhow, I love my V8 and will probably always have a bias towards them for while they still exist.

Crazy! I remember them designing the INFINITI line-up for North America only so they only made them LHD initially... Which was funny cause they were all built in Japan, so Japan was making LHD cars for export that won't show up in their own domestic country (the "INFINITI" cars that were sold in Japan were modified and sold under NISSAN, like the Skyline, which was the G in North America)... I guess when they decided to hit Europe, they started designing RHD versions too, which would have quite the added R&D expense! I just wish the R34 was made LHD... As an RHD it was apparently only sold in Japan and Australia... You guys get ALL the luck! There's also an amazing Toyota truck designed or off-roading that's primarily sold in Australia... Jelly!
