2003 FX45 Owner

We purchased our 2003 FX45 in 2004 and have enjoyed the comfort of our car. It had all the 'then' bells and whistles but we have also had some expensive repairs. We have replaced 4 wheel bearings (issues began early on) and a new engine at 40,000 mi. due to excessive oil usage. We now have 123,000 mi., it is still running strong and looks good even though it is beginning to show its age, well it is soon to be 15 after all...Thursday it gets the faulty airbags replaced.

If you have issues with the bearings again (which is kinda normal for our cars) don't go to the dealership... Find a good mechanic to do the work and they'll do it for MUCH less... I have a good mechanic that can replace all 4 bearings for the same price as the dealership would charge me for ONE!!!

Kinda... The consensus is that the FM platform was initially designed for the Z and G, and not the extra weight that the FX has... So things like bearings seem to go faster than normal... Not sure about the 2nd Gen FX's but I've read very little about recurring bearing issues with them...
