Will a motor from an '05 350z bolt directly on to my '05 FX35? Or will I have to do some major fabrication? And all of this because they don't sell the main engine bay wiring harness as OEM anymore wth! Any info is a big plus thanks guys!

The motor itself should work but you would still need the FX wiring harness. If your wires are damaged, you'll need the main harness for the FX. Most of the sensors should be the same, but don't think a 350Z harness would work. Also, don't think used motors come with harnesses - at least none I've seen.

I'm buying the 350z motor today, because the guy said it comes with the harness and also said it would match up. He's a good friend of mine and I'm hoping he stays that way after this purchase. It would really suck if I got bent over for a few hundo. Fingers crossed, I'll kyu.

Well I got the motor (with harness) and I will let you know if it all matches up soon. Man I hope it does though, since the main engine bay wiring harness isn't OEM anymore and NOBODY has one. Talk about frustrating!

im almost done with a vq35de to vq35de revup in my fx
its a bitch getting the wiring to work being that the revup is made for a MT. and trying to get it to work with a AT is a pain.
hopefully the swap youre doing is from a AT 350 not a MT
