I remember hearing the same about the quality... think it may have been PEEJ or Rip

Ya I bought those, quality was crap. Def wouldn't recommend. LED's blew out in months and the paint inside the housing didn't match the OEM color. Hopefully they fixed these issues. OP let know what you think when you get them?

My tails are tinted... which i plan to do with these.... hopeful any mismatching will be negated but ill share in February when theyre supposed to show up...

So these came today.... They look to be OEM lights. That were modified. The reassembly could have had alittle more attention given to them. (Not lined up quite perfect when pressed back together)

They'll be getting tinted next week then installed

Cool. Be sure to take some night shots. Can these be wired to light up when brake is pressed or is it just wired to be DRL

theyre only wired as "taillights" not "brakelights". Theyre designed to utilize the wiring within the tailgate, specifically the license plate. IF the LeD's can used as brake lights and taillights (i dont know im not an LED expert im assuming some LED's may not have a "Low" and "Bright" function) But youd need to wire into the 3rd brake light on the top.

I've seen some videos of it with the brake function. Not sure if the one you received is able to do that

They look nice. It can be done. But its alot of work. You just need to have two voltage sources going to the leds. One with a resistor for dim function & one with less resistance for brake lights + diodes to stop current feedback. I was gona do it to an oem set but have put them away due to the time required to complete the project. I dont know if the leds on those russian version are strong enough tho. So i was gona remove & use 2012 camry led tail light led diodes & hot knife the oem set open then plastic weld them back on. Talk about alot of work. A local place quoted me $600 just for them to do it.

Im leaning towards not worrying about it. especially in january... Maybe in the summer ill tear back into it

I like the European amber turn signals...the red signals we have blend too much into the LED's and you can barely see them flash....

They're tinted... And they're in. The color is alittle off. Also found out the stock lenses have a refractive lens in front of the LEDs

They're only set up as tail lights for now. But in the end I'm happy.

pasting my older post from another, older thread here:

Hi guys, I've been looking for ways to get this sorted out ever since i bought my FX50s last year. I have imported my car from the US, so its US spec'd obviously, and one of the MANY differences between the Euro/Asian spec'd cars are the taillights.

The inner taillight housings on the Euro/Asian cars are tinted PINK, with AMBER turn signal cover on the outer taillight. while the US/Canadian Spec'd cars have them as regular CHROME with just red tint on the outer plastic lens, with the RED turn signal cover.

I bought the Chinese/Russian inner tails, and their quality is ALMOST topnotch, fitting is +90% OEM, with very minor gaps being not noticeable unless up close. Oh, and it is Asian/Euro spec'd type of taillights, that's why there is a difference in colour between US/Canadian Spec'd FX and these aftermarket lights from China/Russia.

I gave it away to a friend with the Euro/Asian spec FX as i couldn't bare the difference, and they match his car perfectly.

Currently, I am trying to do a custom mod, using OEM LEDs from a wrecked FX taillight. Its not easy opening them up, must use a dremel to cut it open, its not possible to bake them or use a heat-gun to pry them apart like it is for headlights.

Hi I'm also trying to do the same thing over here by taking my old 2007 fx35 taillight LEDs and putting them on the inner 2011 fx35. Have you got around doing them? The older fx LEDs are very bright and have stop/park function and have 2 wires ending at a white female connector. I'll post some pics
Where's your older thread?
Thanks
