What is the best tire size for GTR wheels on my FX50S AWD?

I am thinking of going with 265/50R20 F and 295/45R20 R, and some on forum suggested go with a square set up of 295 all round. The GTR wheels are staggered F 9.5 and R 10.5". Will staggered set up mess up my AWD system with the 265F 295R? The difference only 0.06%. I had a BMW X5 4.8i before with staggered wheels they look awesome, 275/40R20 and 315/35R20 but these size are too small for the FX.

Like you said, it's been covered so many times. I'm in my phone right now, but there are threads on this. Most have gone square, but you can also get tires to minimize the difference front to back.. Imo a 0.06% isn't a big deal.. It's like having 1 tire under inflated vs the rest.

I have staggered GTR wheels and AWD. 265/50 F and 294/45 R is the way to go. Finding a square set is taxing and not worth it IMO. I was concerned initially before buying but I've been completely happy with my setup. You'll need a drop if you don't already have one.

Do you use H&R spring to drop your FX? H&R is my first choice but if I have extra $$$ BC coilover will be right choice. Do you need spacers for the front to look flush? Any pics that you can show off you wheels and tires?

Yes, I'm lowered on H&R with Megan Racing arms for camber correction. I'm not into the "slammed" thing, so I didn't need to go any lower and the H&Rs gave me the drop I needed and the improved handling for a quarter of the price.

Ill try to get some new pics. I've been moving and remodeling houses for the past couple months, so I haven't been terribly active with mods/pics.

Yeah, the weight alone coming off those 21's is going to give you a noticeable difference.

Hmm would any one be interested if I take my Black edition wheels off my GTR and sell them? They are 2015 Black edition wheels

So just to confirm, the staggered set up of the GT-R wheels works with no issues? The 10.5" rear wheels with +25mm offset works with absolutely no issues? No rubbing or any problems with the hub or suspension? I am wanting this as my winter set up on me 2017 QX70 limited. Need to be 100% that the 295 tire on the back with 10.5" +25mm rim is working without issues? Anybody, feel free to chime in. Would a 265, 275, or even 285 tire work in the rear as well? Any modifications needed whatsoever for the GT-R staggered rims set up?

GTRs for winters? That’s a first.
Saw your other thread. 295s are the way to go. Stock gtr comes with 285s but smaller profile tire. I think a 35. No reason to go there on an FX. Some like 45s, and that looks ok on stock height but to me feels like too much tire sidewall. I’m a fan of 40s with a drop.

Are your tires 295/40s all around on a squared or staggered setup? I currently have Niche 20x10 rims with 275/45s all around on my 09 FX35 RWD but just purchased a set of staggered 2010 dark hyper GTR rims. I would honestly like more of the rim to show and agree with your philosophy. I was researching tire sizes currently. From the looks of it, it looks visually odd to have the same sidewall all around on a staggered setup?
