What I did was I cut into the side markers light spliced the wires to connect with the signal light, so it stays on like the DTRL then I put a switchback projector LED light there and for the DTRL I also put a white led so at night both combined it looks like I have double hid's, the switchbacks stay white while driving but when the turn signal is hit it flashes yellow
 
Jbaker1121, did you ever figure out how to get the quad LED daytime running look form Volvos or even the tri-LED like the aventador? I really like the look as well and I think it would fit the FX and look very factory-like.

I used a normal halogen bulb. THe HID bulbs people throw in halogen housings throw scattered bright light all over and blind oncoming drivers. I hate when others blind me with them, and I refuse to do the same.

That being said, there are ways to build a shield to protect from scattering at certain angles but you're better off just throwing in halogen because if the light is too bright it will scatter anyway.

This project is on hold but I have been playing with the idea of retrofitting projectors into the factory fog light spot, there are some kits online for the G that 'should' bolt right in...

There are drop-in Kits that you can retrofit to work but I never got around to it. It's in the list of things to do...
