Motorcycle Riders

Thanks!
I was concerned about ride position when I got it, but it turned out to be completely comfortable. It's aggressive getting on, but the body molds into the bike and the bike molds into the road. I've never felt that same comfortable body/bike/road relationship as strong on any other bike. When I got it, I had a cruiser and rode either bike for about 2 years. (See posts #195 and #198 in this thread). The cruiser was comfortable, but the Ducati is far more comfortable. Ducati puts a crazy amount of engineering into their designs. To me, that helps justify the price. A super fun toy nonetheless!

love the Ducati Pork!

My 1975 Norton 850 Commando is on post #12 and #36.

Some nice bikes you guys have there.
I am 28 this year and I have always wanted a bike. But I don't know if I am getting too old for something like a sport bike and getting my license now. My gf says I am but I don't feel that old. I am liking bobbers lately (if that is a correct term) so I am thinking of getting something over the winter and hacking it up. Gf won't like it but she won't have a choice when I buy it and bring it home haha

Never too old to start but many get something different then a pure supersport.

I started at 25 and I'm now 30. The supersport never really interested me, I've been on them for a day 200 miles and I want off.

Supersport are the cbr, gsxr, r6.

I like my naked sport. Sv650. Bikes similar are fz6, fz1, fz8. street triple. Bandit.

If u want to start, sign up for msf class in your area. They are almost free and teach u on their bikes. Best deal ever plus u learn how to ride right and not get into bad habits.

I have ridden before many times and many different bikes. Most of my friends ride, my first time on a bike was Sv650 actually, which was a super easy bike to ride. GSXR was the most uncomfortable for me and hardest bike to ride, r6 being the easiest. I talked to my wife now, not gf anymore, and she's gonna be ok with me getting one. So next summer I may get something in the 600cc family.

What made a Gixxer so uncomfortable? and R6 easiest to ride? Just curious, since I had K5 750 and never really felt that... It's good though, as I managed to persuade my wife that I really need an R6 for my track duties (and she finally gave up and agreed)... My ZX-10R (while an awesome bike) is just too big and heavy for the track (and I am not a small guy, 6'2" and 210#)

I think I just felt the most comfortable on the R6 to tell you the truth. gixxer wasn't the easiest to handle and it just felt awkward maneuvering around town. R6 and ZX-6R were the easiest to ride for me
