why AC amp will related to the FX starting in cold weather.

I have the 2007 FX35, happened to me twice last week-- need to crank the second time to start up the car.
I read the forums, many ppl saying might need to replace the AC amp.. that part cost around $350..

but I don't understand that, why the AC amp will cause the cold weather starting issue?
anyone have an idea?

also , should I try to change the battery to a higher crank power one?

if your battery is old, id change the battery first. usually the ac amp was mainly an issue for 06 models

Normally, the AC is not on while we starting up the car, .. so , why the AC amp will effect that?
