Where to buy harness connectors?

I have couple of harness connectors damaged and currently fixed with tape and plastic straps, they seem to have been harshly pulled without pressing on the snap lock and fought with a screwdriver: the camshaft sensor connector and the AWD unit connector, I tried the junk yard but theses guys won't sell small pieces separately and rather in groups so I will end up buying many expensive things that I won't need, they won't sell for example the AWD unit connector without the AWD unit itself.

I would like to know how to identify / classify a connector (I am sure there is a science for it) so I can order for the exact replacement, and also where I can order it online.
