Hi guys, im about to get a set of 8000k xenon bulb for the headlight and wondering if you know the safe place to purchase. Ive been searching around ebay and found out most bulbs are very cheap, in fact one-fifth the shipping charge because most sellers had about 50 bucks for the s/h. I would like to know if these bulbs are safe to purchase, in a quality manner.I don't think they had any brand name. Should i just go for more popular ones like philips?
help me out, thanks!

fyi, shipping for philips is way cheaper, around 25 bucks. In total, it would be $60 for no brand Vs. $100 for philips=)

Thanks for your comments guys
so the mtec is bit more pricy
I don know how the quality of the bulb is going to affect in overall.
appearance, durability and such..
anyways thanks!

I have MTEC 8000K that Ive been using for a lil over a year now.......No issues.

ok, now im confused.
its gonna sound silly but i would have to ask since im no expert like you guys.
some sellers have hid conversion kits and the others have just the bulb.
I thought in my case i could just buy the bulbs because fx comes with HID.
or do i need the conversion kit as well?

conversion kit would be if you wanted to make your fog lights HID. you only need the replacement D2S bulb for the headlights.

Make sure yo get the correct bulb.:top:
You should look at getting HID fogs next. Get them matched (i suggest 6000k) and visibility would be much improved.:top::top:

Click on my signature to goto the link for fogs or search foglights.

would you suggest 6k over 8k?
i was originally gonna get 8k. don't know why, it just looked better in picture.
i know everything would be personal, but would gladly take any advice:rolleyes:

i cant speak from experience, but i believe that the 6000k is the best for getting a whiter/bluer look, but still good brightness. 8000k i think gives the best blue look, but with a sacrifice of brightness. it seems like i see alot more 8000k used for sale, i assume many of those people switched to 6000k.

Me being one of those that went from 8k to 6k for both headlights and fog lights.

And then I bought the 8000k from you.
With the 8000K the light is less, but you get the bluer look.
With the 6000k you get less of the blue, but you get more light.
I noticed a huge difference from when I went from stock (4300K) to the 8000k.
Lost a lot of lighting. If these ever go out I will probably go with the 6000k

Pm Nismokid here at the scene...that is who I got my 6000k Alpha HID bulbs and 6000K HID foglight kit from.
