Hey everyone,
So before starting, I apologize for another question about wheels but... I have been getting mixed messages from my local dealers and just want to make sure I am getting the correct wheel and tire specs before purchasing..
After long hard thought's about what style wheel, what size, PRICE and manufacturer.. Ive decided to go with 20x10 all around on either the TSW Bardo's or TSW Brookland's in a matte black or hyper silver (photoshop pro's- if you could please please please do your thing and chop both styles onto my car too see which one I like better would be greatly appreciated
). The offset to these wheels that they offer that will fit my 07 FX35, (which i was told by one of my local shops- could be wrong and will wait til monday to call TSW directly) was +40 without sticking out past fenders?)
With this said, I was told that these wheels will fit my car no problem with no rubbing and was given these three choices for tire size (also do not plan on dropping my car):
1) 265/50/20 (oem): will be stretched but will fit
2) 275/50/20
3) 285/45/20: Recommended but speedo would be off a mile and change
4) 295/45/20: I believe these were exact specs on the tire calculator website to the oem 265/50/20's but was told that I would rub in the front and that these are NOT exact same specs according to their computer?
I did a search on 285 size tires for members who have the 10-10.5+ rims on 22's and I have read some who say that they rub and others who say that they do not rub (both heavy and light load) and just would like some clarification please! Also, I am assuming that the type of tires I get depend so right now I am looking at Yoko Parada Spec X or Hankook Rh06 (have been told by my local dealer that spec x is a better tire all around for all season tires?)
With all this said, here is my problem...
I really like the bigger beefier tires but DO NOT want to have any rubbing issues whatsoever. I also would like to keep the specs as close to or exactly like oem as possible. I did the search on the tire calculator website and found that the 295/45/20's would be the exact same but was told by my dealer that a) would be too wide and b) tire selection and price jumps Thusss, leaving me with 285/45/20 as my best option with a 1 mile and change difference in speedo... is the 45 series going to be extremely buldgy on this wheel? am I going to get any rubbing issues with 285/45/20? and what are your recommendations in both tire size, make and wheels/color of wheels for my car in particular?
That is all for now and I appreciate all of your help in advance! I know that you guys are the pro's and apologize for this wheel question especially if it has been answered
but like i said just would love some clarification and help! sorry for being all over the map lol
Thanks again guys!
