Well i just took in my fx because i heard a winding noise from the front end, apparently its my drivers side front wheel bearing? the part itself he said from infiniti is $250 + labor? is this a good price? How hard would it be to change it out myself? Answers within the next few hours would be greatly appreciated as the fx is on the hoist right now

Well i just got it done, changed the hub & bearing assembly & machined the rotors for
$450 inc tax & labor

from what I've read, it sounds like a wear and tear item, though people have needed to get them replaced anywhere from 30K miles and up.

+1

I think someone replaced at 15k miles. I have 90k miles and had the dealership check the wheel bearings, said they are perfectly fine!

Most seem to replace around 50k.

who would of thought, im really disappointed on infiniti on this one, they could have designed a better part perhaps? i mean 2 of my work trucks have 200,000+ km and those things are being driven harsh every day and there dodge too and the wheel bearings are fine , just dont know

i had my right front wheel bearing replaced at about 30k. the dealership wanted to charge me $120 for an inspection which would be refunded if they found it to be a warranty item. normal, i guess.

i told them not to touch it because i was gonna have a friend of mine make sure it was the problem first plus see if the springs could void it. they ended up not listening to me and drove it anyway and fixed it.

i guess it worked out for me either way because i wasn't gonna pay them if it was something not warrantied lol.
