What's up with the cargo cover?

I bough cargo cover for 2010 Infinit fx35,installed it. and even i have it now i can see everything i have in a trunk from back window outside :-( Why so?

What a point of cargo cover(tonnea cover) then? :mad:
 
I believe it's retractable. Have you tried pulling it out towards you?

Also, there should be tabs that hook to the back of the seats.

Strange mine looked same after i installed it,but it doesn't cover everything if i close trunk. i can see some part of trunk closer to the rear door :-)
 
Does the second gen have a piece that attaches to the rear hatch ala the 2003-2004 cargo cover?
 
yeah, the back of that cover is totally straight, but the tailgate is curved, the earlier ones has a folding tail flap that is curved to seal up to the door. the new fx has this tail of the shade piece attached to the tailgate instead, you need another piece
 
To clarify. The piece people are referring to attaches to the inside of the read door, covering part of the window, so that the rest of the "gap" is filled in when the door is closed.
 
He must be missing the cloth part that attaches to the rear door as described above. I have that in my 2nd Gen and you cannot see in the back at all.
 
this is an old post, but does anyone have a link or something to the "missing" cloth piece?

I looked at the cargo covers and they were way to expensive. So I just tinted the windows, allot cheaper and you cant see anything in the trunk. HEHE
