What to look for in a used FX?

2013 FX37
Hi everyone,

I'm very close to purchasing an FX37 and was wondering what I should look for. The car has 108,000km - above average I know. I searched and couldn't find anything. It's being sold by a dealer and is listed as one owner.

Also, what sort of maintenance am I looking at at this point in the cars life?

Hopefully I can be part of this community soon!

Thank you.

Welcome to iS. You're going to see more coming off lease soon. I would hold out for one with lower milage personally.

The reason I'm interested in this one is because that higher mileage puts the car within financial reach.

Coming from Audi's I can definitely say that generally speaking Infiniti's are way more reliable and offers you better value...I am an Infiniti fan and not looking back
Having said that and since the car remains practically the same since 2009 I would seriously consider an older year say 2012 with the refresh front/grill with less than half the mileage!
I see you are in Canada, take your time like I did and look outside of your province...I nailed last year a pristine 2012 with 25,000km!

2013 was a special edition year with the turbine wheels but the body did not change since 2009

Off leases owners usually do the strict minimum in regards to maintenance and follow the maintenance schedule while spending the least amount of money and do not care as much as someone who purchased the car
What you'll have to look for is full maintenance records, car proof report, make sure brakes are good (pads/rotors), make sure the paint is even, no gaps, no accident, signs for overspray/paint fumes...excessive wear and tear especially on the seats.

So is everyone saying that the high mileage is something I should be concerned about? Went and drove the car today, it felt fine save for a creaky centre armrest and an engine that vibrated at times at idle.

This is just my opinion, and here it is for wat it's worth. Also coming from Bmw, my brothers bmw, my other brothers Audi, etc, then my Infiniti has been very very reliable. Mine also had higher mileage when I bought it, even higher than the one ur looking at. With being my first Infiniti I didn't know wat to expect either, and worried me at first, but it really has treated me well. I don't know if I just got a good one, but I have literally about not done anything too it. Just some small things like wheel bearings, etc. and if u don't mind doing a little wrenching urself, than u can save urself a lot of money on repair bills. My opinion, go for it if that's wat the budget affords. Of course try to get the best deal u can on it.... I think Infiniti is a very very reliable vehicle......

The armrest is the tightness of the two center bolts. You can adjust those after getting off the cover.
For the idle, did it run up and down on the RPMs during? Throttle bodies likely need to be cleaned.
