At 108k, you'll feel a difference. Just because your old ones are worn down. I noticed a difference at 45K (lots of city driving though). I went with Denso; but there's not a ton of difference between all the good brands.

I have the exact same mpg over the last 8k mi. since the switch. Only difference I noticed was that throttle response got a tiny, tiny bit better.

Not sure why. After I changed out the plugs, the car had trouble on cold starts until I reset the ecu via battery disconnect. By trouble on cold starts, I mean pretty bad stumbles for the first 5 seconds of running. The car reeked of fuel and gas mileage was pretty bad until I did the reset.

Why an ECU reset?

Indicative that one of your previous plugs was probably bad and the ECU was compensating for it. So after your reset the ECU it went back to factory settings.

The ECU on these cars is very intelligent over time it remembers certain things and can adjust elements within certain boundaries to keep the car running good. I would say after any mods like plenum spacer, intake, plugs, TB cleaning, etc. Do an ECU reset.
