There's a small plug that plugs into the side of our keyless ignition switch. What is that for? It recently broke off and was left dangling. It apparently might have broke when I replaced the dash. I did get a cel code after I replaced the dash. It ended up being for fuel temp sensor and fuel level sensor. I have an 04 fx45. I'll try to get pics.

The keyless ignition switch has a dust cover that springs closed, but can still allow the mechanical key to enter the ignition switch.
This what you're describing?

No. This is what I'm describing. The white plug in the upper right. THe harness piece broke off. I plugged it in. You're looking from underneath, btw.

Possibly for the illuminated key hole? How may wires on the plug?
There was 4 metal prongs if I remember so 4? And no it's not for illumination that has a little bulb and housing on it towards the front.

Then, it gotta be the steering wheel lock unit. Wire color should be Blue Red, Red White, Red Black, & Yellow Black.

Does anybody have a diagram of our electrical system that includes our wiring harnesses?

Oh ok I got ya. Makes sense. So it basically tells the anti theft that I inserted the key to start the vehicle if my intelligent key system stopped working? So it's only semi-important. whew!
