What option is this?

Moves the headlights up and down a little. For example, if you have lots of stuff in the back, the headlights will be pointing up higher, so you can lower them and not blind people. If you toggle it at night on a wall you can see the light move up and down a bit.

huh.. ok.. so what determines if you get it or not? (what option do you have to get, OR not get?)

And I guess since I'm asking silly questions, are those two switches above it, the 'power door' and the lift gate button, really part of the same thing? One being the ability to turn on/off the feature, and the other to actually do it? (basically 2 buttons for 1 feature?) I get the safety reason if thats why its there.

Thanks!

Jon

I believe the light thing is standard. Kinda like how HID is standard. Not sure why the power door is like that, but I like that you can turn it off. I hate the power door on my mom's RX. It takes too long to open and stuff.

Actually, mine doesnt come with either of those options, so thats why I was curious, yet mine comes with the touring and the sport package. Thats why I was inquiring. I have different buttons though.

Anyone able to determine what my buttons do? I know the photo is small, but its based off the dealerships photos, I didnt take it.

Maybe it's tech package or your year doesn't have it. I know they got rid of/added some options depending on the year.

I'm on my phone and can't read the buttons from that pic.

I think you don't have the sport or the tech package. Several buttons are missing....no adaptive lighting system (which would replace the manual scroll that you pointed out), no front collision warning button, no lane departure warning button, no distance control assist button. Some of these may have moved to the lcd, but still I don't see any tech features.

pictures of the steering wheel and the switch panel by the climate control seat switches would confirm it to bee 100% sure.

That button is for manually leveling the headlights. If you had the sport package that comes with adaptive headlights you get the auto leveling headlights where there is a sensor in the rear suspension that tells how high the car is up from the ground and automatically adjusts the aiming of the headlights.

And the power liftgate was a running change in 2011. After some build date for the 2011 model year, they have the power liftgate (standard). None of the 2009 model have them, regardless of options.

Looks like the only thing he has is the power liftgate.

right that's what it looks like.

I wasn't talking about the lift gate....all the options regarding the tech package are not there.

lol. Looks like I have caused a lot of confusion. That first photo is NOT my car. I saw the scroll knob and I was wondering why I did NOT have it in my car. So later in the post, I added a snap shot of the interior of my car, not one that I took, but one the dealership took. So I think this answered my question, I do not have the scroll bar becasue I have the AUTO leveling lights, so no need for the scroll bar.

Again, as limited of value this shot is, it is my interior: http://photos.ecarlist.com/g1/bN/dZ/pY/WO/qN/xt/Xc/Wc/nq/tg_800.jpg

Here is a 'window sticker' for my car, where it clearly lists tech package, and a few other things, sure I know its a crappy version the dealership made, but I think its mostly accurate: http://www.ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/pdf.pdf?mode=window&id=996440&d_id=2751

If you don't have the scroll bar that means you have adaptive swiveling headlights with auto leveling simple as that

Right, thats what I was able to conclude based on the information folks have been providing. Thanks for confirming what I thought. (although initially when I posted, I thought it was some option that I didnt have that caused me NOT to have that button).

Thanks again!
