Detachable faceplate FTW!

I'm thinking about knocking out the clock on our FX. and putting in the JVC KD-AVX77

Well i haven't purchased it as yet, but it's very tempting. i have a good deal on it.
but yes i will put in a simple system that have a little knock to it.

Had it installed on 05 FX35 in place of analog clock. Installer said it went easier than he had anticipated. I also removed Bluetooth Parrot since the avx77 handles wireless calls great! I stream Pandora and AOL radio from Iphone apps via bluetooth. Using the jvc u30 cable, I can also play music vids and downloaded movies. You can either use the iphone/ipod as your controller, or use hu if ya want the cover art on the hu. It took alot of reps to learn al of the the function adjustments in order to switch back and forth btwn the "ipod off" , "usb for a/v", "ipod", "bluetooth" etc... Sounds is really great (i have external amps/subs w factory replaced speaker). Next step is to add HD jvc radio (JVC 300 unit, steering wheel adaptor, and a final small amp for front middle speaker to complete the 5.1 surround this hu offers!!

ps I use both an Iphone 2g and the Iphone 3gs, all running 3.0 version software

would like to hardwire the u30 cable as it currently has to hang out of the glove box when in use. I find myself listening to music via bluetooth mostly, but having a movie play or any video for that matter, requires usb. Next project is to stream Slingbox to the unit via Ihone Sling app. I doubt its possible, but so far youtube app streams, so,,,,,,,,,just maybe it will be possible
