I have the switchback for a month now and I love it. My question is, where can i tap a 12 volt power for the white led to make it as a DRL.Currently white led is powered through my parking lights. Maybe the guru Handy Andy could help me.Thanks.

Andy installed my switch backs, I don't have them as a DTRL though but maybe he can chime in. Did your turn signal hyper flash after the install?

I would test the "Clearance" or the "DTRL" wire on the IPDM to see if it gets 12 volts while the car is running. If these wires don't show 12 volts when running, then the ignition switch wires connector on the steering column connector behind the driver knee panel will be the next location I would tab into to power the DTRL function.

Here is the DIY to get at the IPDM in the engine bay:

The foglights are the DTRLs if enabled through the Consult. I believe there was someone here who had it done and posted it. Also What I'm wondering is how safe are Tritons at full brightness as DTRLs especially in the hot sun. I just bought a set of switchbacks 5k and left them running on my desk for about 10 minutes and they were pretty warm, i can't imagine them in the heat especially with the engine running...

It did the first time. Then I called v-leds and they said you have to install the fuse that came with the kit.Now its working the way it should be.No more hyperflashing.

Thanks Andy !I will check on that.

Andy is correct, the fuses are not installed from factory, they're optional and to prevent extra heat on the unit if not necessary.
