Upgrading Speakers

I have done a search but not getting the answers I am looking for

I have an 05 with the Bose package. Looking to upgrade my speakers and possibly add a sub.

I have a set of Infinity Kappa components that I would like to use. It has the passive crossover.

I assume that the wiring from the stock HU to the stock speaker and tweeter are independent. If this is the case, do I not use the crossover and just install the speakers or if I do use the crossover, which output (from the stock HU) do I use, the regular speaker one and leave the output for the tweeter alone?

Door speaker plays mid bass(kind of) and mid range, dash speaker plays mid range only, there are no tweeters in Bose setup. All wiring is going independently from Bose amplifier mounted in the trunk.

U need completely replace the Bose amplifier with aftermarket one to make it right(midbass, tweeter and crossover setup).

Excellent. Well looks like I have some use afterall for the two amps I have sitting around. Now debating whether to use my SAS 10" Bazooka or suck it up and buy a Wicked sub enclosure

Just trying to justify $400 with the covering! But it is one of those things I can't build on my own
