Upgrade "22+ wheel problems?

I was inform by a friend who have a Dodge Magnum with upgraded 22"s rims on his ride. It fit his wheel well with some problems. He had to cut some of his bot thread holding his upper A arm, because it over hang his larger wheel. If a big bump catch his wheels, there will be problems. So I look at the FX35 and found the same issue with the FX35 '10. How can you upgrade anything larger then factory 20 inch and tire with out damaging the wheels or suspension, let alone installed any after-markets wheel and not get installation issue?

that piece moves with the wheel / hub. anyways you want to buy a 22rim /tire combo with similar wheel diameters ... see tire calculator...

I figure that was the case for the upper A arm, but for any one who like to drop in 24" 30 series tire and it would be super low profiles tire would be in the mix to match the diameter of a factory wheel/tires.
