Unable to Reset ECU using toe-dance

I tried resetting my ecu a number of times following the steps in fxlr8's diy. My 03's CEL never starts flashing during the procedure, so I am wanting to just reset the ecu using the battery, but need to know how to.

ok well after a number of tries, I grabbed a stopwatch and timed the steps. I got the light to blink and went through the procedure, BUT my radio presets are still good. Does this mean the reset did not fully work?thanks

Resetting the ecu with the dance does not effect radio stations. Only if you reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery.

^ what he said, it's an engine control reset, not a full system reset.
