U1000 and U1001 codes thrown.

MTN FX

So I was driving up the Mountain and really pushing the envelope on the FX when all of a sudden right after a sharp corner under full throttle several things happened.
1) The small display screen on the dash that shows what gear you are in went blank.
2) The transmission was stuck in third or fourth gear and wound not shift up or down.
3) The Service Engine Soon light lit up.

I pulled off the road shut the FX off and then restarted and everything was normal again except of course the Service Engine Soon light was still lit.

When I got home plugged in the scanner and pulled a U1000 and U1001 code.
U1000 is related to missing CAN communications on the network.
U1001 is for Engine Control Module (ECM) and is related to missing CAN communications on the network.

Not it sure what caused this but was able to reset Service Engine Soon alert and FX seems to be normal now.

I had this same exact problem just recently and I also have a P1757 code. I did some research and people had luck cleaning the ecu ground wire...I still dont know where that is lol and also some people had luck topping off low transmission fluid. My fluid seemed full but the color wasnt that good. Im going to do a drain and fill and I'll let you know if that fixes my problem.

Communication error codes Could just be slight corrosion or moisture in your ecm connector. If you disconnect your battery & unplug it and the transmission module aswell & spray the contact points on the connectors with contact cleaner it should take care of that.

Maybe the trans fluid was washed up one side of the tranny in the corner.
I was going extremely fast kind of drifting through the corner maybe to many g's :ninja:

I would honestly check the connectors bro. I dont think the trans fluid moving on a hard corner would do that since it just gets pulled from the bottom of the pan to the top. Could also be a loose ground from chassis to engine aswell.

I have question about the ECU/ECM
It has a code on it that says i.e. code MEC 35-412 and R6 thats of a 2004 FX35 AWD
for a 2003 AWD FX35 the code number is MEC33-130 and L5
Is there a big difference and can they be used on both cars or even on the whole 2003-2005 serie?
